CPRC at the World Assembly on Ageing

Large numbers of Older People live in Chronic Poverty - and during April 2002 Spain hosted the World Assembly on Ageing (WAA) - the first such meeting for 20 years. CPRC was represented at WAA in Madrid - aiming to raise awareness of Chronic Poverty issues with representatives of governments, bilateral aid donors, UN agencies and the media. A fringe meeting at WAA entitled Counting the Uncounted focused on chronic poverty issues.
