The conference discussion will focus on drawing information from qualitative methods of examination of poverty, such as the stage-of-progress model and life history interviews. This information can then be formed in to methodologies for poverty research and analysis. The lessons learned attempt to bridge the gap between qualitative and quantitative research in chronic poverty.
